The Department of Pathology located on the ground floor of the main building caters to the 24hrs emergency services in Central Pathology Lab and Blood Bank which is located in Block 1 New Building First Floor. The Department caters to all the outdoor and indoor patients of Hamidia Hospital.

Central Pathology lab runs round the clock 24×7 for various routine and emergency investigations. Blood Bank offers its services round the clock 24×7 and provides packed red cells, platelets, FFP after thorough rough screening.In addition to UG MBBS course, department offers PG courses and paramedical courses as well. Teaching and training is provided to nursing and other technical staff also.
Department is equipped for ancillary techniques like immunohistochemistry, immunofluorescence and HPLC which are helpful in diagnosing cancer, renal and skin diseases and various hemoglobin disorders.
Coagulation Lab of department is the only government lab in entire Madhya Pradesh which performs investigations like Factor Assays in addition to coagulation profile to diagnose bleeding disorder.
Cancer registry is also a part of Department of pathology which record all the statistical data and clinical details of cancer patients.
